Georgia Grace Knight is singer songwriter based on the Gold Coast

Over the past 4 years, Georgia has certainly made her mark. Starting out when she was just in high school – She was part of the line-up for the Buskers by the Creek music festival at Currumbin in 2015, 2016 and 2018. In 2016 as part of music duo 31 Waves they won the Australian National Busking Championship Regional Finals. She has performed across venues including Nightquarter, The Wallaby Hotel, The Bearded Dragon and many more. A self-taught guitarist and song writer Georgia’s songs have been nationally and internationally recognised. She has been a finalist in the Australian Songwriters Association’s (ASA) National Songwriting Competition three years in a row and was a finalist in the APRA AMCOS Australian Song Comp in two categories (2016), a semi-finalist in the UK Song Contest (2016,2017,2020) and a semi-finalist and top 5 finalist in the Tamworth Songwriters Association’s National Country Music Songwriting Contest in 2017.

Her music transcends across several styles showing her versatility as an artist– including indie, pop, country, roots and folk. In 2019 – Georgia was selected to be a part of the Big Sky Girls program which has seen the likes of Tia Gostelow, Ruby Gilbert, Doolie, Zoey Mills and many more go on to great careers. Georgia is currently working on new songs to release in 2020 and is also studying for her Diploma of Music Industry – Performance. In between she also runs her own vocal studio – passing on her skills to young people in her region. In 2015 aged 16, Georgia co wrote a song called “Now I Know” which made the Top 30 in the ASA Australian Songwriting Contest. In 2016 her own original songs “Blind” and “Fragile” made the Top 30 again and in 2017 another original song “Runaway” made the Top 10 (landing 7th overall). In 2017 “Blind” was a Top 5 finalist in the TSA National Country Music Songwriting Contest and another song “Fragile” was a Top 8 Semi-finalist in the same year. In 2016 in the APRA AMCOS SongsAlive! Australia National Songwriting Contest her original song “Can’t Help Falling” was a finalist in the Youth and Barebones categories. Georgia’s songs “Red Light” (2020), “Shadows” (2017) and “Here I Go” (2016) were all semi-finalists in the UK Songwriting Contest and in 2017 “Thick Skin” and “Flying High” were highly commended. FRAGILE was included on the Australian National Busking Championships CD and other original songs have been featured on radio stations 94.1fm Gold Coast Radio The Local Gig Segment, 4zzz In Bloom and a radio interview on the Music Matters program 94.1fm in Melbourne. She was also featured on the front page of the Gold Coast Bulletin lift out INSPIRE section for her song writing achievements. Her song RUNAWAY was a featured entry on the Queensland Music Awards social media outlets for the 2018 awards. In August 2020 Georgia will officially release her song Red Light which will be featured on the national Big Sky Girls album.
