Phil had come from a folk background whilst Damon had just finished producing a funk band, Momma Goose, which he also played in. Looking for a new sound, they met and started experimenting, eventually landing on Trip Hop as the basis for their new sound and band ‘Inner Suspects’. The name ‘Inner Suspects’ came about as they see their music as a way of analysing inner reality, truth, conscious and unconscious experience, whilst dabbling in psychedelic themes. Since then, they have been releasing singles off their first EP, with producer Lamar Lowder. Inner Suspects music can be found on all platforms.
