After thrashing a few years with a revolving door of bass players and additional guitarists, and a couple of stints as a two piece, the line-up has settled on Dale Mamo (Guitar, Vox), Scott Gulbis (Bass, Camp Cope enthusiast), and Johnny Foti (Drums). Headlining sticky carpet festivals at the Tote and Bombay Rock, and a slew of shows all over Melbourne since late 2017, Kandalini have made a name for themselves in music circles all around town, sure to bring a night of sweat, blood, and (happy) tears.
Their latest single, ‘A Lot Like You’ is a tasty jam which has developed thematically and musically over the last couple of years to the final product, a laborious grind into the realisation that we’re all human. No matter how much effort you put into distinguishing yourself – or obscuring yourself – we’re all equal, subject to the same failures and temptations.
